Editorial Policy

Last reviewed: June 6, 2026 ยท Owned by the CouponHuntz Editorial Team

This document explains how CouponHuntz decides what to recommend, how editorial and commercial functions are separated, and what you can expect when you trust a code on this site.

1. Our purpose

CouponHuntz publishes verified discount codes, cashback offers, and shopping guides for 12+ countries. Our job is to find the codes that actually work and put them in front of readers who want to save money. Everything in this policy serves that purpose.

2. How we source codes

Coupon codes come from four channels:

  1. Brand newsletters and press releases. Codes a brand publishes directly are our primary source.
  2. Affiliate networks. Codes shared in our affiliate-network dashboards (Awin, CJ, Impact, Amazon Associates, etc.) are vetted by network compliance teams before reaching us.
  3. User submissions. Anyone can submit a code via our coupon submission form. Submitted codes go to our verification queue before publishing.
  4. Public events. Sale-window codes published on brand sites during Black Friday, EOSS, Diwali, DSF, Single's Day, etc.

We do not scrape codes from other coupon sites. Codes appearing only on competitor aggregators don't make it onto CouponHuntz until we can verify them at the source.

3. How we verify

See our detailed Verification Process for the operational walkthrough. Summary:

4. How we rank and recommend

Rankings are determined by editorial judgment based on:

Rankings are NOT determined by commission rate, affiliate-program tier, or commercial relationship. A merchant who pays 1% can outrank a merchant who pays 8% if the 1% merchant's codes work better.

5. Editorial independence

Hard rule: the partnerships team negotiates commercial deals. The editorial team verifies and ranks. The two teams do not coordinate on rankings. No brand can buy a higher position.

What this means in practice:

6. Affiliate disclosure

When you click a coupon code on CouponHuntz, you may be redirected through an affiliate link. If you complete a purchase at the merchant, we may earn a commission. You pay the same price either way; the commission comes out of the merchant's marketing budget.

Affiliate links carry rel="sponsored nofollow noopener" per Google's webmaster guidelines. They are not endorsements. We disclose this relationship on every page and on individual coupon cards.

7. What we will not do

8. Corrections

We treat correction requests as high-priority. If you spot an error โ€” broken code, wrong fact, outdated information, missing restriction โ€” email editorial@couponhuntz.com. Typical resolution:

9. AI and editorial content

Editorial content (brand pages, comparisons, blog articles, country guides) is written by humans on our editorial team. We use AI tools for outlining, fact-checking, and grammar โ€” never for unattributed content. Articles include a real author byline and editorial review.

10. How this policy changes

This document is updated as our operations evolve. Material changes will be flagged at the top of this page with a date.
